Jory Shane Neff
Pursuing a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction
Jory Neff is a second year PhD student in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Bilingual Education and Teacher Preparation. Because of his work as a high school teacher, he takes classes primarily online, although he resides in Lubbock, TX. His passion for Texas Tech University has grown since becoming a Red Raider in 2015, and his goals this year include (1) ensuring that graduate students have sufficient guidance, mentoring, and opportunities to publish and present now that TTU is a Tier 1 Research Institution (2) That graduate students have sufficient funding to travel and represent the University through their research, without having to make substantial financial sacrifices and (3) To ensure that experiences in the graduate school help students transition into the workforce in an effective and efficient manner.
